When we open a new book, it’s the beginning of a new adventure! We have no idea how that book will transform our lives. As caregivers, we are likely looking for something…it might be anticipating a certain experience — to be entertained or reduce stress, to add knowledge or learn new vocabulary related to Alzheimer’s, or maybe we just want to hold a book of words for some peaceful, meditative moments.
Before you go too far into the book, sometimes it is nice to know what is inside. Other times, it is far more fun to enjoy the surprise of a day’s adventure.
